Welcome to PaperFeed ("the App"). Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the App. By using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

PaperFeed is an academic paper discovery and reading app that provides:

• arXiv paper search and browsing
• Paper collections and reading history management
• AI-powered summaries and analysis
• Research topic subscriptions and personalized recommendations
• Paper translation and chat features

1.2 Service Provider

The App is developed and operated by the PaperFeed team.

2. Accounts and Access

2.1 Account Creation

• You may create an account through Sign in with Apple
• You are responsible for providing accurate information
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure

2.2 Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for activities under your account
• You must notify us promptly of unauthorized account access
• We are not liable for losses caused by credential disclosure due to your own actions

3. User Conduct

3.1 Lawful Use

You agree to:

• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Not use the App for unlawful purposes
• Not interfere with normal operation of the App
• Not attempt unauthorized access to systems or data

3.2 Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

• Use automated tools for bulk scraping
• Bypass or break security controls
• Spread malware or harmful content
• Impersonate others or misrepresent identity
• Abuse AI features for non-legitimate activities
• Resell or commercially exploit the service without authorization

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 App Content

• The app design, code, icons, and interface are protected by intellectual property laws
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without authorization

4.2 Paper Content

• Papers are sourced from open academic platforms such as arXiv
• Copyright belongs to original authors
• We provide retrieval and display services only and do not own paper copyrights
• You must comply with applicable licensing/copyright requirements when using paper content

4.3 AI-Generated Content

• AI-generated summaries and analysis are for reference only
• We do not guarantee completeness or accuracy of AI outputs
• Original papers remain the authoritative source for academic citation

5. Subscription and Payments

5.1 Subscription Service

• The App provides both free and paid subscription plans
• Paid subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store
• Subscription prices and included features may change over time

5.2 Refunds

• Refunds are handled according to Apple App Store policies
• For refund requests, contact Apple Support

5.3 Auto-Renewal

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings -> Apple ID -> Subscriptions
• After cancellation, paid features remain available until the current period ends

6.1 Availability

• We are not responsible for the accuracy of third-party paper content
• AI output may contain errors and should not be your sole decision basis
• Academic decisions should rely on original papers and trusted sources

6.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

• Any loss caused by your use or inability to use the App
• Data loss or corruption
• Losses caused by third-party actions
• Indirect, incidental, special, or punitive damages

7. Service Changes and Termination

• Adjust pricing with appropriate notice where required

We may terminate your account if you:

• Account deletion does not affect completed payment obligations
